I've finally managed to plant a hidden webcam in Gary's "Alien" studio. I've wanted to do it for ages, but I could never be arsed to get around to it. But recently I took advantage of Gary's absence from home (he went to the Boat Show in London), and I broke in and put the camera in position. So from now on, if you want to know what Gary's up to in the studio, or if you want to see just how he goes about recording his songs, all you have to do is to log onto Outland and watch him via our Webb Cam.

Hopefully we will be able to continue with this service for quite some time, because we don't think Gary will ever find the camera. It's hidden in the cupboard where he puts the finished recordings, so he rarely goes anywhere near it.

WEBBCAM HIGHLIGHTS

Cockroach

On Sunday 21st April 2002, a cockroach was spotted in the studio. It walked across the floor close to Gary's chair, but soon left when it began to choke on the thick layers of undisturbed dust.

Studio Fire

On Monday 22nd April 2002, a fire broke out in Alien Studio. Regular Webbcam watchers reported that someone resembling Gary Numan had been seen shortly before, dousing the carpet with kerosene. This was flatly denied by Gary's manager, Tony Webb. "Don't be stupid", he snapped, "Gary hasn't been near the place for at least a year!"

Osama Bin Laden

For about a week at the start of May 2002, Gary's studio was home to fugitive terrorist Osama Bin Laden. It appeared to be the ideal hiding place, as it is in fact the only place in the Northern Hemisphere where no human being has been in the last 12 months. But eventually he became bored and moved on.
